Shikhar Dhawan gave a big statement regarding Rohit Sharma’s captaincy.

Indian team’s best left-handed opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan surprised the fans by announcing his retirement from all formats of cricket on 24 August. Now, along with revealing his decision, Shikhar has also made a big statement about the current Indian captain Rohit Sharma. The opening pair of Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma have single-handedly played an important role in helping the Indian team win many matches, in which Dhawan’s statement about Rohit Sharma’s captaincy is also considered very important. After retiring, Shikhar Dhawan had decided to play in the third season of Legends League Cricket, in which he is currently playing for the Gujarat team.

Rohit is a great captain

Shikhar Dhawan, in his statement to news agency PTI, said about Rohit Sharma that he is a great captain and I am happy that the team won the World Cup for the country under his leadership. We all were waiting for a long time to win the World Cup. We missed winning the ODI World Cup very closely but we managed to win the T20 World Cup this time. Dhawan also gave a statement about his decision to retire and said that I thought that okay, I have played enough matches now and I was not playing so much cricket for a long time, due to which I had also lost my rhythm. If I look at my last 2 years’ statistics, I have played very few international matches and was playing IPL more. I did not want to play domestic cricket, which I started playing at the age of 18 or 19, but now I did not have the motivation to play this format of cricket.

I am happy with what I have achieved in my career

Shikhar Dhawan has an excellent record in the limited overs format in international cricket. Dhawan also said in his statement that he is very happy with whatever he has achieved during his career. Every player wants to win the World Cup in his career and we also tried but we could not win but I am still very happy with my career.
