By the end of the third day of the first match of the two-match Test series being played between India and Bangladesh, Team India’s grip had become quite strong. On the third day, while the Indian team declared its second innings at a score of 287 runs and gave Bangladesh a big target of 515 runs, by the end of the day’s play, Bangladesh had lost 4 wickets at a score of 158. On the third day’s play, Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill’s excellent batting performance was seen from Team India, in which both the players scored centuries. While Pant played an innings of 109 runs, Shubman Gill played an unbeaten innings of 119 runs. With this, the pair of Gill and Pant also made their place in a special club.

When Rishabh Pant came out to bat in the second innings of Team India, the score was 67 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. While Pant completed the sixth century of his Test career during this time, Shubman Gill managed to score the fifth Test century of his career. Both of them also did a special feat together which was seen after 15 years in a Test match played at home by Team India, in which 2 batsmen managed to score centuries in the second innings. Actually, the century came from the bat of Gill and Pant in the second innings of Team India. Earlier in the year 2009, in the Test match played against Sri Lanka in Ahmedabad, Gautam Gambhir and Sachin Tendulkar scored centuries in the second innings of the Indian team.
