The government warned mobile users that after this the scammers changed their strategy and are now using calls from international numbers to make people victims of fraud. The department said users should exercise caution when replying or answering calls from unknown international numbers that do not begin with +91. DoT has also asked to be wary of such calls that claim to be from an Indian government department.
