A new rule is going to come into effect from January 1, 2025. This new telecom rule is going to affect the customers of Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL.
States received instructions for RoW
Let us tell you that recently some new rules were added by the government in the Telecom Act. All the states were also asked by the government to follow these rules. The new telecom rule was named Right of Way (RoW). According to this rule, telecom companies have been asked to get easy space to lay their towers and cables. With this, mobile users will get better network connectivity.
According to ET report, the RoW rules will come into effect from January 1 next year. One of its major objectives will be to increase the number of optical fiber lines and towers. The new ROW rule is going to be of great help to telecom operators as well as infrastructure providers. Telecom Department Secretary Neeraj Mittal has also written a letter to all the states regarding this.
Work on 5G towers will be faster
After the implementation of the new RoW rules, telecom companies will focus more and more on 5G towers. This rule can prove to be quite economical in terms of providing fast network. It is being told that the new rule can be a great relief for companies like Vi and BSNL. These companies have still not been able to stabilize the 5G network and it is expected that after the implementation of RoW, the companies can easily move in this direction.
