Delhi BJP President has said that similarly, the pollution level of Yamuna in Delhi is continuously increasing and the Marlena government is carelessly turning a blind eye. Sachdeva has said that when Yamuna River enters Palla, Delhi from Haryana, its normal Fecal Califorum level is 12000 and by the time it leaves Delhi near Okhla it increases to 96000. In Delhi, 27 untreated drains fall into the Yamuna, poisoning its water and increasing facultative coliform levels eight times. Sachdeva has demanded from the Lieutenant Governor that he should immediately intervene in the preparation of Chhath and form teams of senior officers as per the assembly and this year Chhath Ghats should also be built on the banks of Yamuna.
