Indian Railways

Learning from the troubles during festivals, Indian Railways has decided to launch a super app. This super app will be launched by the end of December 2024. Through this, information about ticket booking, train information on the platform, food distribution and train running status can be obtained. The Super App of Indian Railways will be different from the already existing all in one app IRCTC App.

In this super app of Indian Railways, passengers will get every information related to railways. Through this super app, passengers will be able to book tickets, buy platform passes, and monitor timetables. It is being developed by Railway Information System Centre. This application will work seamlessly with the existing systems of IRCTC. Its services include ticket booking, food delivery, feedback, train tracking etc.

What will happen to IRCTC now?

At present, passengers use IRCTC app to book tickets online. Through this app, airline tickets can also be purchased and food can also be ordered in the train. Apart from this, there are many other features in this app. After the launch of the new app of Indian Railways, IRCTC will continue as CRIS’s interface with passengers. Its facilities will continue to work as before.

There was trouble due to lack of trains

Indian Railways is trying to reduce the problems of the people by introducing a new app, but the real problem was due to the shortage of trains. A large number of people move from one state to another for work and return home at the time of festivals. During this time there is a shortage of trains. Even a large number of special trains is not enough for the passengers. It is clear from this that Railways need to run trains by laying additional lines and State Governments need to provide employment so that migration of laborers is reduced.
