A strange case of road accident has come to light in Kerala. A couple’s car fell into a 15 feet deep well near Pattimattom in Kochi district. However, both the people miraculously survived the accident. Kochi Police has given this information on Saturday.

Giving more details about the incident, an official of Pattimattom fire department said that there was a deep pothole on the road but the couple was not aware of it. When the car passed by, he lost control of the vehicle.
Car fell into 16 feet deep well
After this the car collided with the shop and fell into a nearby well. Husband and wife were traveling inside the car. The couple fell into a 16 feet deep well along with the car. Both people also got injured due to this accident.
Were using Google Map at night
The rescue team official said that this accident happened around 9 pm on Friday night. The officer said that the speed of the car must have been high. The couple was probably using Google Maps. When the car was taken out of the well, the Google Map app was running on his phone.

He said that since there was less water in the well, the couple was able to get out safely through the back door of the car. They (the couple) stood inside the well until help arrived. Local people and rescue officials rescued both of them safely from inside the well.
A big accident could have happened
The official said that if the well had been filled with water, the situation could have been different. He told that the couple was taken out by placing a ladder inside the well. The couple suffered minor injuries.
