Rajat Sharma, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of India TV.

What I am going to tell you today will make you feel bad, angry, disgusted, hurt, but it is important to tell you this. It is important to warn you. Two employees at Baghpat District Hospital, Jabbar Khan and Murshid Khan, conspired to take revenge on the Deputy CMO by mixing mucus containing dangerous bacteria of TB patients in their food. Reena, a maid who cooked at a house in Ghaziabad, had been mixing her urine in flour for 8 years in a bid to take revenge and was arrested after being caught on camera. A person baking Tandoori roti in Khalifa Hotel of Saharanpur was caught mixing spit in the flour. All these three incidents are recorded on camera. These three incidents are shocking, but the police is helpless. There is no strict law to catch those who commit such acts. Those who commit such despicable acts easily get bail because at present there is no law under which the police can give strict punishment to those who commit such atrocities. However, now Yogi Adityanath’s government has decided to make mixing human waste in food items a non-bailable offense and those doing such acts will be punished with 10 years of jail and heavy fines.

A law will be made and the police will take action accordingly, this is a matter for later, but thinking about the news that has come, the question kept arising in my mind again and again that how can a person do such an act? What kind of thinking is this? And it is even more surprising that similar incidents happen at three places. Thankfully, these two employees of Baghpat District Hospital came to know in time about the conspiracy of mixing mucus of TV patients in the food because one of their colleagues Rinku recorded the conversation on the phone and informed it to the Deputy CMO. Imagine, the employees who are responsible for eradicating TB, who work to prevent the spread of the virus, conspire to mix the patient’s phlegm in the food of the doctor and his entire family. This is the first time I have heard or seen such a case. Earlier, there used to be videos of making roti by spitting, but the way strict action was taken in such cases in the last two months, it seemed that these cases would stop and such activities would stop, but it did not happen. In the video that came from Khalifa Hotel in Saharanpur, it is clearly visible that the person who is baking roti in the tandoor, first prepares the dough with his hands, then spits on the roti before putting it in the tandoor. Some Bajrang Dal workers created a ruckus, complained to the police and then action was taken against the owner and employee of Khalifa Hotel. Regarding the action on the hotel, SP of Saharanpur Police says that the right to take action on this lies with the Food Control Department, not the police.

Now the question is how to stop such incidents? Yogi Adityanath had given instructions to the police to take strict action in such cases, but it did not work, because the police catches those who commit such heinous acts, but no one ever thought that a human being could commit such a despicable act. Can do. There is no specific law for this. Usually the police catch those who commit such acts and they easily get bail from the court. Now Yogi Adityanath has decided to make strict laws to stop such incidents. Adulteration of food items is a crime, but mixing mucus, urine or spit in food is a great sin. It is difficult to understand this mentality. Nowadays there are CCTVs, everyone has cameras on their phones, that is why these criminals were caught. Evidence was also found against them, otherwise here it is not known who is mixing what in the food and even if it was known, it would have been difficult to prove it. It is difficult to understand where this thinking of those who commit such sins comes from. Some will call it Spit Jihad, some will call it a distorted mentality, some will call it madness, but this does not reduce the seriousness of the crime. One gets goosebumps just thinking what would have happened to those with whom this happened, who ate this kind of food. There is no law to catch those who commit such acts and to punish them because the law makers would never have imagined that the maids working at home or the people making roti on tandoor can do such a disgusting thing. . I will praise Yogi Adityanath that he thought about this and decided to make a law. As long as there is no fear in the minds of people with such distorted mentality, there is no fear of law, such people will continue to do such dirty things. (Rajat Sharma)
