The Congress Working Committee met on Friday to discuss the party’s recent election performance in Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Haryana. Strategies for the upcoming Delhi elections and Parliament session were also on the agenda. The meeting chaired by party president Mallikarjun Kharge was attended by former chief Rahul Gandhi, AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, KC Venugopal and Jairam Ramesh. CWC analyzed various election results. The party’s alliance won in Jharkhand, but had to face defeat in Maharashtra and Haryana.

The Congress President said that we cannot achieve success all the time by following the old pattern, we have to take timely decisions and fix accountability. He stressed that we have been shocked in the recent assembly elections, that is why we will have to take tough decisions.
