Shubhaman Gill revealed his special plan after scoring a century.
The third day of the 2-match Test series being played between India and Bangladesh in Chennai was completely in the name of Team India. On the third day of play, the Indian team’s second innings saw excellent centuries from the bats of Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant. Gill, who returned to the pavilion without opening his account in the first innings, made a brilliant comeback in the second innings and played an unbeaten innings of 119 runs in which he was also supported by Pant. At the same time, after the end of the third day’s play, Gill also told about his century that he had made special preparations to deal with the spin bowlers before the start of this series.
Decided to go ahead and play a shot against the spinner
Shubman Gill said about his century in the press conference after the end of the third day of the Chennai Test match that earlier when I used to practice, I used to try to play shots by moving forward against the spinners. I adopted the same strategy here also against the spinners of Bangladesh. On this type of wicket, the spinner’s ball was sometimes turning, due to which it was not easy for them to get rhythm. I have been practicing playing such shots since I was very young. I am tall and so it was a little easier for me to reach the ball using my feet. Earlier I was not able to hit long shots but with constant practice I learned to play it.
Also expressed happiness over Rishabh Pant’s innings
Rishabh Pant, who was returning to Test cricket after a long time, could not do anything special with the bat in the first innings of this match, but in the second innings, a century was seen from his bat. Gill also expressed happiness over Pant’s century and said that I have spent a lot of time with him inside and outside the field. Pant has scored a century on his return and we are all very happy with this because I saw how hard he has worked to return to the field after the accident.
