BSNL has taken the first step towards upgrading its service. The government telecom company is going to launch 4G service commercially soon. At the same time, it can also announce 5G service in June next year. BSNL had showcased many of its upcoming services at the recently organized India Mobile Congress (IMC). The company has launched its new logo and slogan at an event organized in Delhi today. Besides, the company has also introduced 7 new services.
BSNL’s new logo
BSNL has changed its logo after 2000. Also, the slogan has also been changed now. BSNL’s logo earlier had blue and red arrows, which has now been changed to white and green. Whereas, the earlier logo had a gray colored circle, which has now been completely changed. The design of the logo has been kept the same as before. The color of the circle in the middle has been changed to saffron. Also, the map of India will be visible in the circle.
BSNL New Logo
The government has used all three colors of the Indian flag in the new logo of BSNL. BSNL has changed its old slogan ‘Connecting India’ to ‘Connecting Bharat’. Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and senior BSNL officials unveiled the company’s new logo.
spam free network
BSNL has introduced technology to block spam calls and messages through AI. Now fraudulent calls and messages to users will be blocked at the network level itself.
National Wi-Fi Roaming
The government telecom company has launched the first FTTH based Wi-Fi roaming service. BSNL users will get the facility to access high speed internet at hot-spots without any extra charge.
IFTV
BSNL has launched the first fiber based intranet live TV service. Through FTH network, users will be able to watch more than 500 live TV channels on pay TV.
ATS Kiosk
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has started the facility of ATM like kiosk for SIM cards. This kiosk will be installed in public places including railway stations of the country, so that customers can get the facility of purchasing and upgrading SIM 24*7.
D2D Service
BSNL has also announced direct-to-device service, which will provide better connectivity by integrating the mobile network with satellite.
Disaster Response Service
The government telecom company has launched Emergency Encrypted Communication Disaster Response Communication Service for connectivity during floods or other natural disasters, which will help the government and relief agencies provide connectivity in the affected areas. This will be a drone or balloon based communication system.
Private 5G network for mines
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited in collaboration with C-DAC has launched 5G service to provide superfast connectivity in mines. This service will work to provide high speed coverage in underground mines through AI and IoT.
