Iranian authorities have arrested a female singer who performed an online concert on YouTube without wearing a hijab. A lawyer gave this information. Iranian lawyer Milad Panahipour said Parastu Ahmadi, 27, was arrested on Saturday in the city of Sari, the capital of the northern province of Mazandaran.
On Thursday, the judiciary registered a case regarding Ahmadi’s concert performance, in which she wore a long black dress with no sleeves and a collar, but did not wear a hijab. Ahmadi was accompanied by four male musicians during the program.
