Oman player Shakeel Ahmed sets new world record in T20 International
The Netherlands team is currently on a tour of Oman where it is playing a three-match T20 series against the host team. After this, the third and decisive match of the series was also won by the Netherlands. The team managed to win the series 2-1 by winning by 29 runs. Even though Oman’s team had to face defeat in the third match, their team’s left-arm spin bowler Shakeel Ahmed did such a miracle with bat instead of ball that created a new world record in T20 International.
Shakeel broke Akeel Hosein’s record

Meanwhile, when Oman was chasing the score of 148 runs in the third T20 match against the Netherlands team, at that time they lost 8 wickets till the score of 48, in such a situation, Shakeel Ahmed came to save the team from a shameful defeat. Contributed with the bat, playing at number 10, he scored 45 runs in 33 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes. This is the highest innings played at this batting position in T20 International so far. Earlier this record was in the name of West Indies spin bowler Akeal Hosein, who played an unbeaten inning of 44 runs in the T20 match played against England in Bridgetown in the year 2022.
